Kesha's 'Rainbow' Review
Kesha's new album 'Rainbow' was released a few weeks ago, and wow, it is incredible. It's her first album since suing her producer, Dr. Luke, for a bunch of charges, including sexual assault, bad business practices, emotional abuse and harassment, in 2014. Because of public support for her absolutely horrendous situation, she was released from her contract last year.
The album is full of empowering songs like 'Praying', 'Bastards', 'Hymn' and 'Finding You'. I can honestly say there's not a song on there that I don't like. Each one is full of so much emotion personally written by Kesha about her experiences. It's one hell of a return to the music community, and I'm so happy she was able to express herself and create such meaningful, amazing music.
Kesha says that the album was influenced by artists like Iggy Pop, The Beatles and Dolly Parton, among others.
You can listen to it on Apple Music and Spotify, and buy it a JB Hi-Fi and Sanity.
